I cannot rely on three years at Man Utd - Amorim

the United manager

The Manchester United coach - pictured getting support following May's Europa League final defeat - states he is happy by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's continued commitment but emphasized that tomorrow is uncertain in football.

United's manager Amorim thinks it is important the co-owner openly discussed his future vision - but states nothing is guaranteed about the future in the sport, never mind three seasons.

Through a conversation with a major publication in recent days, Ratcliffe mentioned it may need the head coach three years to produce meaningful results at Old Trafford.

Emerging in an era when the manager's position has been receiving close inspection following an extended sequence of poor performances, the words contributed to reducing a portion of the current stress.

But, speaking before the hundredth encounter with historic adversaries the Reds at their home ground, the manager underscored that what comes next is challenging to anticipate in football.

"It is really good to listen to that but he tells me all the time, sometimes with a message post fixtures - but understand, I'm aware and the co-owner recognizes, that the sport isn't that predictable," he commented.

"The most important thing is the following fixture. Despite having backers, you cannot dictate tomorrow in soccer."

Top executive Omar Berrada has admitted it has taken much more time for the manager to adjust to the Premier League after his transfer from his former club in November than anyone imagined.

Manchester United have achieved 10 times in 34 top-flight fixtures with the Portuguese coach. They haven't managed two league games in a row and didn't complete a fixture schedule in the current term higher than ninth.

The concerning numbers are stretching belief in Amorim among the Old Trafford faithful approaching a stretch of fixtures their club has been awful in for the last couple of years.

United's boss commented he isn't experiencing the instability internally at their training facility and is firm nothing can match the expectation he places on the squad - and in certain ways, he would rather Ratcliffe to avoid attempting to establish serenity because he is concerned about the effect it might produce on the team.

"It's not only a thing that people talk about, I feel it every day," he stated. "It's certainly beneficial to receive it because it helps our fans to grasp the administration know it is going to take a while.

"But at the same moment, I don't like it because it generates a sense that we possess time to work things out. I don't desire that impression in our team.

"The pressure I put on the players or upon myself is so much bigger [versus outside influences]. In the sport, specifically at large organizations, you must demonstrate yourself every weekend."
