Our Friends at Fextralife Launch a Dedicated Space for Mods

The modification scene is increasingly larger or so sought after as it is today. Modders who crafted new mechanics for classics such as Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate III have secured major industry jobs. Full-fledged projects were created leveraging prior work. A creator even discovered how to make Silksong somewhat more accessible.

Indeed, in this era, all things look feasible with a concept, programming abilities, and a bit of initiative. So it’s no surprise that a growing segment of the market is looking to support that continuously expanding modification scene, and that our partners at Fextralife are joining the effort. On Tuesday, the wiki site announced it would broaden its services with the FXMods platform, an innovative gaming modification site created for users who desire a speedy, complimentary, and unthrottled customizations to enrich their beloved releases.

FXMods promises to be a free platform with unrestricted download rates, immediate availability, and connection to the larger Fextralife wiki system, which intends to permit makers to obtain increased recognition as players find their downloadables within a broader collection.

What’s the hope for the initiative? I asked Fextralife’s Matt Hook, who has been fully engaged in shepherding the project.

Our primary objective is really trying to focus on the community’s needs,” Hook states. “We want a great experience for the gaming community to be able to download mods promptly and conveniently, and we want to reward modification authors and members of the community with acknowledgment and rewards.”
